I went to Monarto Zoo, (in Australia) on a special photography tour of the park on Sunday (26th March).

I've got quite a few giraffe shots (they have the biggest herd of giraffe in the oceanic area or something at Monarto) but I think this one was really interesting because most giraffe pics are of them standing up eating or running or close ups of their eyes or with their babies or whatever. Sort of a different perspective with this, as it's sitting down like this ~ plus the skin looks cool and wrinkly. Hehehe..

I don't know what it is, but giraffes look so unnatural when they're not..well..standing up. If they're laying down they look odd, when they drink or graze they look odd. Just an odd animal. But I adore this capture. :)
